We are delighted to welcome you to our annual Biosimilar Medicines Conference, taking place on 18th and 19th April 2024 in the Hilton Amsterdam Schiphol, the Netherlands.
We closed the last edition in May 2023 on a very positive note: biosimilar medicines have delivered huge access benefits for patients and a significant opportunity for healthcare systems to transform care pathways and deliver better patient outcomes. Stakeholders had underlined the undeniable role biosimilar medicines have played so far as a key pillar in patient access, treatment affordability, supply security and innovation.
As patient demand for biological medicines increases, and to keep pace with changes in the pharmaceutical and healthcare landscapes, but also beyond, we believe the next edition of the conference will provide a meaningful opportunity to jump start the multistakeholder policy process, ensuring the European policy framework and Global regulatory system secure more biosimilar medicines development and equitable access.
This 20th edition aims to provide a lively forum where important milestones are reached and acknowledged, the synergies facilitated, and future needs collectively reflected upon.
During these two interactive days, actors of the healthcare community alongside world experts in biosimilar medicines will gather and debate the evolving biosimilar medicines landscape and emerging trends. Discussion will focus on sharing good practices and setting collective aims to achieve the depth, breadth and speed of the use of biosimilar medicines as a lever to untap their transformative value.
The various sessions will cover all relevant areas of healthcare and pharmaceutical policy, market access, scientific developments, regulatory, clinical and patient experience.
